Even During Transition

The PCA Administrative Committee (AC) is in a transition year with the search for our next Stated Clerk. While we anticipate the next leader, nothing is on hold. With the Lord’s help, we are pressing forward with greater energy, accelerating efforts to resource and support the Lord’s Kingdom work across the PCA.

The AC exists to serve and advance the whole church so that together we may proclaim Christ and extend His Kingdom. That calling does not pause in seasons of transition. We continue strengthening the connections, systems, and resources that help every elder, congregation, presbytery, and other ministries of the PCA flourish in gospel ministry.

New Church Resources for Christ’s Mission

  • NEW Church Resource Webpage: We deployed a website offering guidance on calls, compensation, insurance, church discipline, incorporation, and training.
  • NEW Prayer Guide: We created a tool mobilizing members to pray for PCA churches, presbyteries, committees, agencies, campus ministries, and missionaries.

Expanded Support and Search Services

  • Expanded Polity and Book of Church Order Support: We fielded thousands of questions from church leaders and members, and deployed a digital, searchable BCO version.
  • Online Church Directory Growth: Thousands now use our online directory to find PCA congregations.
  • More support for Church Leaders:We co-piloted a new program for executive pastors and strengthened the Presbytery Clerks Conference to better equip leaders to serve their churches and presbyteries.
  • Growing Pastor Search Services: We posted more than 500 positions, shared over 1200 candidate profiles, and answered over 1000 search questions—helping connect Christ’s shepherds and other servants to congregations and ministries.

Core Denominational Work

  • Continuing preparation for General Assembly
  • Coordinating denominational committees
  • Training and resourcing presbytery clerks

Why This Matters

Seasons of denominational transition can tempt us to “wait and see.” The mission of Christ does not pause, and neither does the AC. Every gift from every church represents a shared partnership in Christ’s ministry. Together, we are building up the body, resourcing churches to reach communities, plant congregations, support missionaries, and equip leaders for faithful service in God’s Kingdom.
