Hotel Information To keep the costs of the General Assembly as low as possible, the PCA has made arrangements with the Memphis Cook Convention Center to reduce the space rental costs. The cost reductions are directly related to the total number of hotel guest rooms occupied in Memphis during the 2007 General Assembly. It is very important that we track which hotel properties are used, the number of guest rooms occupied, and for how many nights. Please complete the Guest Room Information Survey found in the front of your Commissioner Handbook, and provide it when you pick up your name badge and voting card. Please note that the Memphis Marriot Downtown, The Wyndham Garden Hotel, the DoubleTree Hotel Downtown Memphis, and the Comfort Inn are sold out. Please see housing available at the University of Memphis. Click here to download a list of hotels near the convention center. We do not have blocks set aside for these hotels. Headquarters Hotel – Memphis Marriott Downtown is SOLD OUT. The Memphis Marriott Downtown will be the headquarter hotel for the 35th General Assembly located at 250 North Main Street. We have blocked 500 guestrooms at this newly renovated property – so make your reservations quickly. The hotel is located adjacent to the Memphis Cook Convention Center. Just outside the doors of the hotel is the Convention Center Trolley Stop that will provide you convenient access to restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. The Marriott will host many activities including the WIC Hospitality Suite, Craft Room, and various food functions during the Assembly. $100.00 – for Single, Double, Triple or Quads

The University of Memphis, Richardson Towner, is located at 3603 Central Avenue and is seven miles (15 minutes) from the Memphis Cook Convention Center. We have blocked 50 rooms, 100 beds, at the university. Each air-conditioned room is furnished with two beds and dressers, desks, and closets. Four people may share a suite, with two guests per room adjoined by a bathroom. Once your reservation has been made the University will e-mail you a bill to prepay before coming to the Assembly. Parking is $1.00 per weekday (complimentary on weekend) at the University of Memphis – you will receive a parking pass that must be displayed in your vehicle. The facility offers a complimentary Continental Breakfast on weekdays. Host Housing A limited amount of
complimentary housing will be available in the homes of host
families. Those using the host housing will be responsible for
their own transportation and meals.
